This must have been one of the most asked updates to VB Media and is one of the (many) reasons we decided to completely rebuild VB Media with a new code-base.
Since we have progressed sufficiently enough to start implementing new features, this was one of the major ones, which has been 'placeholdered' from the very beginning, but now it's here!
The search bar can be added to the header of V3 sites easily, can even comes with a few styling options.
These options are limited as the form itself will inherit a lot of the styling from the 'Look and Feel' form editor. But there should certainly be enough to get you started.
We may look to expand upon these options as we continue to build and receive feedback on settings you may wish to include.
The search results will appear in a standard list, as you would expect on any search engine.
We have also included any products and categories that are found, in their own section to the right of the main search results.
This provides and additional way for your customers to get to the products that they want, faster.
The search algorithm is rudimentary, at present, but we will definitely looking to expand upon it as we go forward.
It is already, certainly far better than no search facility.
