Dev Update 8

It's non-stop here as more and more sites go live with Version 3.

The developments also continue as we move forward with VB Media. We are predominantly doing a lot of bug-fixing - as the number of Version 3 users increases people are finding little things that have slipped through the gaps.

We are always open to new feature suggestions so please do email support@vb.media with any that you have. However, please bear in mind we will prioritise the implementation of features that will benefit the majority and that not all requests will be possible.

We have also had an early planning session on our marketing strategy.

With deadlines for a few pieces for the upcoming Print Show, we have had to come up with a marketing that differs enough from previous approaches but not too far that people think we are a completely different company.

In the coming weeks we will continue to expand on this as we plan out our stand and literature for the show.

We have re-opened sign-ups for VB Media, with new customers going directly on to the Version 3 platform.

We did have a list of people wanting to sign up and everyone on that list has been informed.

We have also began the process of changing our demo service over to Version 3 as the current admin area will be phased out with the new Version 3 Admin Area (which is currently on a separate, temporary domain, eventually taking it's place.

• Admin Area - updates to the blog articles section to allow more control over the item box with the ability to change the shape to rounded as well as a completely new set of functionality in the form of text spacing
• Admin Area - ability to control the backgrounds of gap sections
• Admin Area - ability to control the backgrounds of slider sections
• Admin Area - fixed the display of inline javascript
• Admin Area - some back-end house-keeping
• Admin Area - fixed a bug that prevented the change of typeface in 'look and feel'
• Admin Area - fixed another bug that was malforming the custom javascript when displaying inline
• API - css cache-busting variable for styling changes
