Dev Update 15

A little while since our last update but we haven't just been sitting around, twiddling our thumbs - we have been busy developing, honest!

Just a little insight into the development projects we have going on currently..

The revamp of the Orders section in the Admin Area is proving (as we suspected) a bit of a beast and is taking up 99% of our dev-time.

Whilst we are approximately 50% of the way through, there is still a long way to go but it will definitely be worth it.

We have completed the ability to upload videos for pro-tier customers.

Whilst this isn't fully live yet, it will allow you to have videos in the background of a 'Call to Action' to give your site a bit more 'life'.

Once fully live we will post here a full breakdown of what it does.

Pro-only feature.

Create customer groups and assign discounts to groups.

Add customers to said groups and allow them to see different prices when logged in.

Pro-only feature.

You can now mark up a Route1 and Tradeprint products on a sliding scale, dependant on the quantity ordered.

Pro-only feature.

You can now limit what attributes are offered on a Tradeprint product.

You can now choose a custom default for Tradeprint products.

VB Media sites can now be set in various currencies.

These cannot be switched 'on-the-fly', as the setting is simply a visual one and does not perform any kind of currency calculation.

It does, however, mean that a VB Media website can be used for customers outside of the UK.

• Front End - fixed the stacking of 2-column text blocks
• Front End - consolidated and  restructured the css for the layout of columns to improve efficiency and prevent conflicts
• Front End - slight renaming of some minor classes in some section layouts
• Front End - fixed text from 'over-flowing' in certain circumstances in blog articles
• Front End - fixed an issue which prevented the enlarging of images for gallery section types
• Front End - fixed an issues which resulted in a 404 for pro sites when trying to upload a file
• Front End - fixed an issue where, in some circumstances, customers were unable to convert and pay for a quote
• Front End - fixed an issue which meant that html-encoded pound-symbol was displaying instead of the actual symbol
• Front-End - fixed an issue which prevented the basket from becoming visible on the 'lite' tier
• Front-End - fixed and issue where products and categories that were not 'live' were rendering incorrectly in some circumstances
• Front-End - fixed an issue that caused blog articles to 404 under certain conditions
• Admin Area - added the ability to add a link to footer images
• Admin Area - video upload to media library (pro only)
• Admin Area - fixed various font issues which prevented the display of chosen fonts over system fonts
• Admin Area - fixed an issue which prevented customer p.o. and text ref, from being transferred to the order when being converted from a quote
