We want to keep you updated with the developments we make in the lead up to the release of VB Media Version 3. So we aim to post regular articles, like this one, with what we have been working on.
We also hope to continue to do so post-release, so as to become a point of reference with new features.
We may not include absolutely everything we do as some things will be mundane and simply fixing any bugs that have been caused from anything new being added.
We've added 'feedback' to the main 'Save Page' button on the Page Editor.
Knowing you've clicked a button is helpful, especially if the page content is larger and/or the save time is extended. The button gets disabled (to prevent needless submission attempts) and 'processing dots' appear to indicate it is 'working'.
Once completed it will show the 'saved' status.
We had this functionality in place very early on but there were some buggy issues which were malforming the data so it was put on the 'back burner'.
However, from using the Page Editor (and Blog Editor) it has become apparent that this functionality is very useful to help prevent repetitive tasks (say adding a header for sections).
Therefore, even if for my own sanity, this has been re-instated and the bugs have been squished!
We've made an adjustment to the basket layout on the front-end websites.
The new layout sees an overview of the basket to the right-hand side of the list of items, as well as the location for discount code entry and action buttons.
This will take affect once the individual sites have been upgraded to version 3.
